question-I placed a question on the Atlantic blog sometime back with regards to the appliances mentioned in the Atlantic marketing brochuer , and as per our discussion when in your office. I went into the blog today, but never saw a reply. Can you please tell me what’s happening on this front?

In the top picture you can see that we are ready to cast the 10mm PCCfor the shoring wall

In the 2nd picture you can see that the crane area were prepared and we are ready to cast the 10mm PCC
And here you can see that the mobilization are completed, and that progress is running as scheduled. We are now preparing to place the crane and the shoring works

all pile breaking completed and we started with leveling, we will also place the crane after the 3day holiday the new tempory offices are completed and most of the tempory structures from the neighbouring plot has been moved i think a photo from the bridge will show all this better so i will take one from there hope this will do for now

whats happening everybody

After someone has posted pictures of a deserted sight with no works i decided to go to the site at 21h30 tonight and take photos of a site that has more movement than the pictures that was placed and sir if you are the one who placed that photos (shame on you) and even this dark photos proves you wrong, and every thing is on schedule i will place day photos tomorrow so that all can see that all pile cuttings are done we just have column discrepancies and are fixing that, but no there is no stopping the site we are on schedule as promised. Dubai sevens rugby

I wonder, after the 2007 worldcup who would think that friendships can still make an ENGLISH supporter give a SOUT AFRICAN supporter 2x tickets to the final day of the Dubai sevens(not possible) when all tickets are sold out and people asked crazy prices on the internet(I know it hurts and it wasn't easy), well there is still great friends out there that just proof that friendships overwelm tragedies, thank you Malcolm and Janine I know it wasn't easy(Tell me she looks happy? Don't think so) but from the bottom of my heart youre the best English supporters ever and i'm proud to call you friends!! So all there is left to say is; Seeeeeee ya on Saterday

OK sorry for not posting these last couple of days, but a Trojan got hold of my hard drive and I had to send it in to be formatted!!(The little bugger) That now behind me, I can only say whats happening everybody it looks like we are moving doesn't it no,no.. we are moving and as you can see the re-mobilization is going as planed. We also started with pile cutting and the sand just get more and more but as all things in life, its getting to the end and all is well, now every day you will see progress and that's sounds soooooo good trust me you will enjoy the next year and a half and won,t miss any action as this is every ones favourite blog, I hope? well enjoy the pics and post the comments. Remember if i don't get back on your comment its not because I don't care its just a matter of making sure i give you the right information on your questions!! that's all for now !!

Whats happening everybody

First sorry for not placing any posts, its difficult if there is nothing but sand, sand and more sand!!! but we are busy my front loader was send in for a service today! After removing 7,560 tons of sand it was due, so we will commence tomorrow(20 November 2007) and where are my comments? I need your responses or questions to make this work!!! window of opportunity

Living in Dubai sometimes makes you think of home, just to see your beautiful country again! I realize that more now than ever before, then a friend of mine from South Africa come and chanced all that, by giving me a mural which i now call my window of opportunity! To see how someone can create a living portrait in front of your eyes is a magnificent, so now i can walk onto my balcony sit in my chair and imagine the view outside my new window, and if I feel down I look at it, and I know it doesn't matter how empty some corners of your life seems, by changing your heart it will be full of joy!
Thank you Petrus W Smit for giving me a reason to enjoy my moments alone outside my window of opportunity

Question-So this tower is 18 floors,what have we got,I make it 2 floors for podium and parking,7 floors for 1 beds=21 1 beds, 14 floors of 2beds =56 2beds,and 2 floors of 3beds =4 3beds. Is this correct and where do the other bits like gym etc fit in.
Answer-No its 20 floors,Prominent + Ground + 17 Floors + Pool & Gym on roof
1 Bedrooms - 6 Floors x 3 apartments = 18 x 1 Bedrooms
2 Bedrooms - 14 Floors x 4 apartments = 56 x 2 Bedrooms
3 Bedrooms - 3 Floors x 2 apartments = 6 x 3 Bedrooms
This gives us a total of 80 units

Questian-So one month to mobolise and then !!!! WELL it will be christmas,not being a christian country will you work throu,or do you have an equivilent break.
Answer-and then we will work on the construction off coarse and no i will take Christmas day off to be with the family, kids they need you there. But for the rest the tower will be first priority i will take a brake on completion, see thats commitment.

I would like to welcome Local Engineering Office as our consultants to the site, we are now working late hours to give you all, the gift you deserve, the best looking tower in Marina(well I......! think so) we are on the verge of construction and Re-mobilization will be our no 1 priority as we need to get on our own site this will give the contractor 1month to mobilize in our plot there after we will start with the structure thank you for your patients and lets get starting with this beauty!!!!

Question-What floor level would you have to be on to be level with the bridge between Atlantic and marina view towers.With car parking and retail at ground level,what floor will take all the service machinery.
Answer-that would be the first floor of the residential units, lift and window service station on the roof and substation, generator ext. in the prominent level

Question-Is it correct that the first two floors at ground level make up the podium,and if so dose this apply to the one beds as well.IF CORRECT do the two beds start above that and do they start as floor one or three.!
Answer- Yes they do make up the podium(retail area),and regarding the one beds yes there will be parking on the first two floors this means that both the one's and the two beds will start on the 3rd floor when looking at the tower from the front (creek side) they will then start as floor one.

Firstly regarding the 24 Hrs shifts- We will start 24Hrs shifts when we start the structural works, let us just finish the excavations and you will see some night action, I will keep you updated on that!
The set backs of the glass- I will post a answer on that as soon as possible let me just study the drawings and i will explain!

continuing excavation works update

Whats happening everybody

Alridy as you all know we are excavating(removing sand from the plot to reach building level), so please give me some time to upload new photos, its a waist of blog space to give you photos of trucks removing sand, but I will send you a photo tonight so that you can see the progress. Also please do place your comments or questions on the blog there is a place next to each topic that allows you to do just that it will help me if I know what you want from me, You asked me to open the communication between us, so why are you not communicating(just a thought). And there is a problem with the time periods on this blog I'm trying to fix it but for now its 12hours behind, so if you see 12h02am it actually is 12h02pm.

A structure or a home

I just wonder what do we see when we look at a building? do we see money, concrete, structure or just an investment? there is an old man he creates sculptures well the question was asked to him, don't you get bored making these sculptures day after day? he replied in a old very soft voice, when you look at them you see a sculpture but me, i see a wakening of wood that was nothing but now its alive each one different, like us never the same .If we see it as a ornament why do we buy it? just to show it off, or is there an explanation, a story behind this magnificent creation? for that unanswered question I'll keep on creating them till my hands or my mind stop doing it. On scyskrapercity.com I see so many financial questions people telling others how glad they are they didn't invest in this or in that, but the worst of them all, there is even a competition between two towers. How do you compare time to beauty? What would you want a building in 18 months or a breathtaking tower where you can close the door behind you and enjoy the beauty the comfort and the view?

For any queries regarding progress on the site please don't hesitate to contact SPIKE, he is known for his personal touch, his visa is in progress, but as a personal PA I find him highly experienced, I had a couple of investors that come to see me and immediately spike made his presence felt, they seemed to have had no problem with the progress on site(as you all know we were extremely busy) and left the premises in a hurry, I would like to do a follow up but since nobody left any details I assume he knows what he is doing and can't wait for the next query.

How is it possible that the news of the century didn't get to all the investors"please read your mail" , well if you didn't hear it or haven't seen it its true we got our approvals, for the next 18 months we are under construction and that is whats happening right now. As I explained at skyscrapercity.com we are under way with construction and the following is happening as from the 07 November 2007-
a) we are leveling the plot for further works to be done
b) we will be moving our offices to our plot
c) we are on our way, after leveling to place the crane for operations

Ps; the offices will use labor as well as the crane but excavation works will only use machinery's and not labor as we are living in the 21st century and decided to make use of human inventions. check this blog for future updates

Slow start

We had a slow start getting started on this tower but as all things in life we are on our way, i first want to say thank you to all investors for their patience(ye right), its been a long and hard road but all will fall into place now, this tower got its first two awards thanks to a great marketing team(ORYX) without whom this wouldn't have been possible. this is a first of many towers in Dubai(must have a chat with DuMi) and as promise i am dedicated to the investors and what I'm about to give you is nothing less than the best, lets enjoy the next 18 months and see how your investments grow"I do feel my head dropping in the bucket and it hurts"
